Why: So we can donate the proceeds to the Ft Abraham Lincoln Foundation www.fortlincoln.com & the Coalition of Charitable Organizations (COCO) www.cocononprofits.org

Who: Really cool fun people (but only 120 cool people – space is limited)

How much: $40 (plus we’ll be throwing in some extra stuff (ie. 2 for 1’s for an after party, prizes & who knows what else + there will be plenty to drink thanks to Maple River Distillery no one shall go home thirsty 😉

New show to salute the military and their families

Join Shelle Michaels in saluting the United States Armed Forces, veterans and their families every Sunday from 1600-1800 hours (4 to 6 p.m.)on URL Radio (www.urlradio.net). The show “#SundaySalute” will focus on those serving, their families and a vast support system which includes Soldier’s Angels. Michaels has been with Soldiers’ Angels since 2004. They are a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) non-profit with over 225,000 members providing aid and comfort to the men and women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, veterans and their families.

Michaels belongs to many state wide committees in North Dakota supporting our heroes, such as the Interservice Family Assistance Committee, North Dakota National Guard Service member and Family Support Advisory Council, ESGR Advisory Committee, Grand Forks/East Grand Forks Military Affairs and the Bismarck Mandan Chamber Military Task Force.

While supporting the military, she has personally received the Soaring Eagle Award and the Lifetime Presidential Award for her work with the United States Air Force.

Before moving to Bismarck this past winter, Michaels taught Public Relations at UND for 5 years and focused her graduate work on Utilizing Social Networking Sites to Advance Public Relations Campaigns.

The kids got to watch chicks hatch in school – here’s their entertaining take on it. Like did you know that they look all weird & soggy when they hatch, and it would be wierd if an ostrich came out instead of a chicken, and if they pooped on paper it could be called a “Poopa Lisa” (you know, instead of a Mona Lisa).
