This is not a review…it’s a revelation. The host, Amber Rae is a professional producer and promoter with a love for all things entertaining, from the fluffy to the fine. She’s devoted to putting art in front of audiences - a matchmaker of sorts. Her endeavor is to apply her presentation skills and strong personality to help consumers find culture and creators draw crowds. We live in a rapidly growing region where people are hungry for entertainment, which performers are eager to provide, and she hopes to use this platform to bridge the gap between the two on a local level.

She’s not here to judge anyone’s creativity. She’s here to teach them to tout it so that everyone else can judge them for her! She’s up for everything: from cheese curds to caviar, PBR to Pinot, open mics to Operas, She’ll try anything once and encourage everyone to do the same!

She’s sick of hearing “there’s nothing to do in this town” so She’s taking matters into her own hands and using her production experience and promotional knowledge to introduce entertainment opportunities to the area. With the help of her sassy sidekicks, Darius the Beer Bitch, the Producer, and our special industry guests, the Dive Bar Diva will put a classy, trashy spin on the area arts scene.

Beer Run Logo 2011

At the start of the race, participants will receive a playing card which they will keep with them & gather 4 more cards throughout the race in attempt to make the best poker hand at the finish of the event.

Entrants will run/walk/crawl (your choice) around Sertoma park… starting at Shelter 8. The first beer stop is at Shelter #5. Participants will either drink a 7oz cup of beer or water. Upon completion of the beer, after you throw your cup away, you will receive another card and can continue to the next stop. Shelter #2 is the next stop where you will again drink a 7oz beer or water, throw your cup away and receive another card. You will turn around and stop back at Shelter #5 for another beer/water and card. Then it’s off to the finish where you’ll receive your last card and last beer.

After you’ve finished we’ll listen to URL Radio and have some dinner, awards and hand out more prizes.Trophies will be awarded to the fastest male and female runner & walker as well as the best poker hand.

Early Bird Cost = $25 for those registered by September 10th.  From September 10-24th the registration fee is $35.  Also, first 75 who register will receive a free United We Sand Shirt. Cost after September 24 is $40 (t-shirt is not guaranteed for those registering after 9/24/11 - first come first serve).

Garrison Dam Release Info —  (CFS means Cubic Feet/ Second.  One Cubic foot/second equals 646,360 gallons of water.)

• Monday, May 30, increase to 85,000 cfs
• Wednesday, June 1, increase to 105,000 cfs
•  Thursday, June 9, increase to 120,000 cfs.
• No later than June 15 depending upon progress in putting protections in place and actual precipitation levels — increase to 150,000 cfs.
• The anticipated river level at 150,000 cfs is 20.6 feet with preparations recommended for 21.6 feet or an land elevation of approximately 1,641.2 msl.

Evacuations – Burleigh County Southport residents need to prepare for evacuation (not mandatory at this time) due to increased water level (10:30 am 5/30/11).  May 26 Briardale, Hogue Island & Fox Island were served voluntary evacuation notices.  Morton County is recommending evacuation of the following additional areas north of Mandan: Schlossers first to sixth additions, and Seidler addition. Residents were advised to evacuate from the following rural areas south of Mandan earlier this week: Tokach/Timberhaven, and Jetty Beach.
