Alzheimer’s Association

The holidays are a time when families gather for meals and celebrations. These gatherings are often when families first notice the early signs of Alzheimer’s. Signs may include repeating the same story over and over, trouble following a recipe, or less interest in favorite holiday traditions. Early detection of Alzheimer’s matters. Getting treatments that may slow the progression or improve the symptoms is just one of many benefits to early detection. It’s what you don’t know that can hurt you. Learn more about the 10 warning signs of Alzheimer’s and how the Alzheimer’s Association can help at 800-272-3900 or  www.alz.org/mnnd  Thanks to JZ Trend Academy.

Instead, maybe donate bleach, liquid laundry detergent, science diet puppy food, garbage bags, blankets, kitty litter or a financial contribution on their behalf. Log on to cdhs.net for more information on how you can help. And thanks to the Bismarck Bobcats in Bismarck for their support:

ND Anti Horse Slaughter Coalition

November 15, 2011 behind closed doors, Congress spent over $5 million dollars to have USDA inspectors for horse meat. That means we will now have meat inspectors for horse meat and horse slaughter is legal in the US. This is not something that is happening in “other parts of the country” talk of a horse slaughterhouse in ND has been on the table. The North Dakota Anti Horse Slaughter Coalition members and volunteers want to provide facts and figures on horse slaughter and the consumption of horse meat, so you can make an educated decision for the future: Did you know……Horse meat is not meant for human consumption? Horse meat is TOXIC and FULL of carcinogens from wormers, steroids, and medications and there is NO proven safe level to ingestors. And..Did you know….Americans have been led to believe horse slaughter plants are needed for all the OLD, SICK horses, but according to studies, 92.3% of horses slaughtered are under the age of 5 and in good health? And lastly, Did you know you can stop horse slaughter if you write to your Congressmen and get their support on Senate Bill 1176 – The American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act. If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem. Act now! Check them out at www.ndantihorseslaughtercoalition.org or the search for the Anti Horse Slaughter ND facebook page and see what YOU can do to help stop this atrocity.
